WEEK 1

Hey guys, great first class to start off the term! Welcome to Brainstorm if this is your first time here :) Looking forward to working with you all and seeing what you guys create.


This class is composed of 3 sections:
1.      3 weeks of Composition
2.      3 weeks of Value
3.      3 weeks of Color
      The last week will be your finals

First Week: Learn how to simplify our compositions

Homework: 8 solid black-and-white
Take 4 of them and pursue them further
2000pixel resolution
4 on each page

By the way! Starting next class, I will be here about 30-45 minutes early and I will be starting in-class film studies on various films. It'll be basically the same exact kind of exercise we did today so come early and give it a shot :)

WELCOME

Welcome to SPRING 2017 Term!

Hello Everyone!



Welcome to the Brainstorm School SPRING 2017 term! Thank you for enrolling in WB2!
Here are some important bits of information for the upcoming term.
First day of class:  January 29th, 2017, Sunday, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (3 Hour course)
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for street parking. 
- Students are not allowed to park in the building’s lot due to building regulations.
Come prepared with your Materials:
- Sketchbook for notes & sketching: Cottonwood brand recommended: www.cottonwoodarts.com
- Pens or Pencil for notes & sketching
- Laptop (laptops are allowed in class to take notes with)
- Photoshop: We recommend CS2 or higher
- Tablet: Wacom brand recommended
Required for homework:
- Computer: Desktop or Laptop (laptops are allowed in class to take notes with)
- Photoshop: We recommend CS2 or higher

Attached is a map of the school. We encourage students to carpool with classmates if available.
